These bathrooms are inside a new San Diego restaurant called Slowly. I painted the night-blooming cereus—one of the slowest flowers to bloom—as a nod to the name. I wanted the flowers to feel soft but still stand out against the black background, so I added hints of gold to give it a little extra elegance.
