This mural was created for the Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit at the Monticello Hospital. The goal was to create something bright, calming, and MN themed. Because many dementia patients are on this floor, I had to ensure the mural didn’t have too many fine details or jarring colors that could be overwhelming.

The final design plays with simplistic geometric landscape elements in a muted warm color palette, with iconic MN symbols like the loon. Loved this special project to help bring the outdoors inside to Monti patients!
